This Too Shall Pass emerges as a space for sharing, reflection, and the circulation of knowledge generated through Dying Cool. The project opens the research process to the public, bringing it into dialogue with other artistic, cultural, and transdisciplinary practices that approach death from diverse and complementary perspectives: impermanence, grief, necropolitics, the ecology of dying, the funeral industry, rituals, and forms of end-of-life care and accompaniment, among others.
This Too Shall Pass takes the form of an annual programme unfolding across different artistic and cultural spaces in Barcelona. Through workshops, conversations, performances, music, and other forms of gathering, it creates collective spaces to think about and experience finitude—not as a problem to be solved, but as an inherent condition of life.
We understand finitude as a pedagogical practice: an opportunity to learn how to relate to loss, change, vulnerability, dependency, and uncertainty, and to explore other ways of caring, being present, and living together.
